Bubbles, Bubbles and more Bubbles....that stay!

Gymboree has the most awesomest (yes I said awesomest) bubble blower. The best part is that the bubbles are non-toxic, the second best part is that they last more than a second, so that your little one can actually track them with their eyes, or even catch on their finger. If you are looking for the perfect bubbles, these are it!!! They sell them in the Gymboree stores or you can buy them on their website if you aren't close to one at gymboree.com. Invest people, you won't be sorry you did!!!

Picky Eater? Not anymore

My little lady was such a great eater as an infant and pretty much until she could walk....then she became a PICKY EATER. One day she would love green beans, the next day she couldn't even look at them! I am not one to just give snacks all day, so I knew it wasn't because she was full on snacks.

I did some research and I kept reading about the plates that have seperate compartments for the food and how great they are for picky eaters. I didn't even use a plate for her food, I just put the food in different piles on her highchair tray......She never seemed to mind her food touching. So I just ignored the articles I was reading and figured it was just a stage she was going through.

I was at babies-r-us one day, shopping for a stainless steel sippy cup and saw the plates. I found a 2 pack of Dr.Brown plates for $6......so, I thought, let's give it a try.

BEST THING EVER!!! I don't even know what a picky eater is now. The plates I bought have 3 divided areas and they are all the same size, a good way to portion out the food for your child. I know that I was giving her bigger portions before, which might of seemed overwhelming to her. She eats everything now, she might not be a plate cleaner, but she is eating a lot more.

If you have a picky eater, invest in one of these plates.

Fruit and Veggies....hold the pesticides

It is important to know where your fruits and veggies are coming from and what's in them. Most farmers use pesticides, a CHEMICAL used to kill pests, especially insects, so that they get more for their money. We think that we are washing these pesticides away when cleaning our fruits and vegetables, but we aren't. The pesticides get into the root of the fruit/vegetable and once in the root, it's in your food, theres no washing it away.

So, whats the answer? EAT ORGANIC PRODUCE,  OR GROW YOUR OWN! Remember, it's a CHEMICAL, who wants to eat CHEMICALS??? Provide your little and yourself with the most nutritious and healthy foods, you can do so when you buy organic.

Check out this website for more information: http://eartheasy.com/eat_pesticides_produce.htm

Fruit on the go!

When leaving the house with the little, I always grab a snack to go. I try to make it as healthy as possible, so I was going for Cherrios for the longest time.....UNTIL, I came across the squeezable fruit! The best invention, allowing your child to eat something healthy and it's organic!

They have several different brands out there and lots of different flavors and the best part: NO SPOONS NEEDED!

I have been getting the earths best or peter rabbit, I am going to try the mashups organic brand as well. I have done some comparing of prices and although you can buy them in large quantites on amazon which is nice, they are $1.22/pouch....babies-r-us has them for $1.19/pouch. So, if you have a babies-r-us near you, that's the place to go!!!
